DJ Green Giant began mixing in 1992. After releasing several mixtapes, he got a position at Couleur 3 (national radio) in
1997, to host the hip hop “Métissages” show. In 1999, he takes part in the creation of the Downtown Boogie programme, in which he still performs today. With his colleagues from Downtown Boogie, he releases in 2003 the “Boogie Bangerz
volume 1” mixtape (Emi).
Since 1995, he regularly performs in parties all over Switzerland and abroad (France, Spain, Senegal, Belgium and Kenya). We’ve seen him as an opening act for concerts of artists such as Ice Cube, Redman & Method Man, Wyclef, Gang Starr, Public Enemy, Iam and host parties with DJs like DJ Premier, Cut Killer, Diplo, Lil Jon, Jazzy Jeff, Snoop Dogg, Mark Ronson, Grandmaster Flash, Green Lantern, Just Blaze, etc. DJ Green Giant has been performing each year at the Montreux Jazz Festival since 2000 and has played in some of the biggest festivals in Switzerland: Paléo, Frauenfeld, Festi’Neuch, Rock Oz’ Arènes, Caprices, Royal Arena, Electrosanne, etc. He has played in most major clubs in the country and is a resident DJ at the D! Club in Lausanne (Best Big Club 2013 & 2014 / Swiss Nightlife Award).
He has worked with several groups for scenic performances or scratches (in particular on Stress’ four first albums) and he collaborates since 2012 with the Gasface film makers from Lyon. Together, they’ve produced 7 projects, in the form of mixes. He is also the official DJ for the Swiss Red Bull Beat It since 2012 and was the DJ for the world final in Paris the same year.
In 2013, he contributed to the creation of Soulcheck, a programme broadcasted by Couleur 3 and dedicated to Soul and,
more generally, to Black Music. This programme is still on the radio today. DJ Green Giant is also a member of the DJ
collective Los Scratchos with DJ Vincz Lee and DJ Klash. The trio explores a larger musical palette, especially through
electronic music. In 2016, DJ Green Giant received the Swiss Nightlife Award for Best Open Format DJ 2015, after being nominated each year since 2009.
